The "About This Website" page describes the IWS project, explains the history of philosophy course sequence at Kent State (since the website is largely structured around this approach to teaching the history of philosophy), outlines the website architecture, explains the speech-friendly design principles employed in constructing the website, and contains an ongoing list of updates to the website.

Guided Tour of the Website

We'll begin at the OhioLINK History of Philosophy Instructional Website homepage. From it, you can either explore the website by sticking with a particular period in the history of philosophy, or you can go directly to the research assistance pages.

Next, we'll take a look at the Twentieth-Century Philosophy homepage. From there you can follow links to any of three different offerings of the course, each of which will have different syllabi and writing exercises designed by that particular professor.

We'll now go to the Continental Rationalism homepage to see an example of the kind of materials mounted on the site, as well as how the website is organized. From there we'll look at a class syllabus, a few writing exercises, and see how the Research Assistance tools work.

Finally, I'll point out how you can contribute to this website.
